Arctotis are compact plants with large marguerite flowers in clear, golden colours. The silvery leaves occur in basal rosettes. The plant is native to South Africa and prefers warm conditions with lots of sun, and thrives with only moderate watering.
Plants of Arctotis can be grown on their own or in combinations with other selected summer plants in pots, window boxes or in garden beds. Flowering time is from spring till mid-autumn.
